oh HELLS, no...

OK. I could accept Interview's photo shoot of Pauly D and the boys because it could be, you know, ironic. But this is just too much.
Bazaar is featuring the Jersey Shore girls in an upcoming issue. Bazaar is not an ironic magazine. This is not ok. Bazaar, WHAT are you doing? First that weird feature with Jonah Hill over the summer, then the Miley Cyrus shiz, now this? I could let the Tavi thing slide because, I mean, it's relevant. But seriously? The JERSEY SHORE GIRLS?
I pray to God that you find a way to make this credible, because Bazaar -- you are slipping way too far. I miss the old you.

Aux Naturalle

"When I was a child, my mother always told me that you could wake up in the middle of the night and be deathly sick, so you always have to be impeccable. I laugh about it now, but I think everyone should go to bed like they have a date at the door."

As much as I wish I went to bed looking gorgeously radiant, I do not. I have blond eyelashes that make me look like an alien when not doused with 18 coats of mascara. When I first had roommates, it took me months to build up the courage to take my eye makeup off each night--I was too petrified to let anyone see me in a natural state. (Ultimately, I decided I'd prefer looking like crap after 10pm than deal with the side effects of sleeping in cosmetics.)

Lately, there are many [see: Katie Holmes] far braver than I--opting to head outdoors with a bare face. CoedUgly blogger, Kristine, did a great post about this a couple weeks ago. To these confidant souls, I applaud you.

Better than a cup of coffee

In addition to watching Britain's Got Talent each night, another lucky perk of currently being in London was reading this article on fashion blogger extraordinaire, Susie Bubble, the way it was meant to be read: in Metro, on the Tube, while traveling to work.

As a long time fan of Style Bubble, the double page spread put a much needed shot of joy in my step this morning. Interview also did an article on her a few weeks back. Seriously, this girl is my idol.
